FR015 - Crime In Choir "The Hoop"
US: CD $12
CANADA/INTL: CD $14
Dense, chaotic, and dreamy sounds that just so happen to rock as well. Everything from prog to new wave to rock--It is a varied and beautiful CD. One minute you are at peace, the next confused and then the next minute at peace again, all within the same song. I am positive you will enjoy this.
"The 2nd release by these local prog-rockers keeps up the pace from their excellent debut from last year. There's a mix of Magma, early King Crimson, Gong (mostly 'cause of the saxophone parts), and even places where you can almost imagine a young Peter Gabriel singing about giant hogweeds & such. (YES, that's a compliment!). Then throw in some Mahavishnu Orchestra & you've got a mighty nice mix. Better "the kids" digging on this than some "fashion-pop" crap like The Strokes or whatever. Hey, kids this is called "PROG-ROCK"! So stick that in your damn 'hipster handbook'!" --Stanford Radio Review
